Tulsa Shootout Entry Count Climbs Over 500 On First Day Of Registration

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (September 24, 2025) At Midnight, the first entries started coming through, and in just over 12 hours, the entry count for the 2026 Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout powered by NOS Energy now exceeds 500, shattering the pace set for the 2025 event, which saw the 400-mark breached in a little under 24 hours.

“It’s crazy to watch. I refresh the portal every so often to see where we are, and it just keeps climbing,” stated Ashleigh Ward, who handles the entries for the Tulsa Shootout.

“A lot of new names already which is great, but it’s always nice to see the number of drivers who return year after year, either chasing their first Golden Driller, or another one, these guys and gals are diehards, and we love it. Without them, we don’t get to host this amazing event, so it’s very much appreciated.”

First through this time? Tulsa’s Mattix McBride, who topped the Flying A Motorsports Junior Sprints in 2023. The first classes to break through the century mark are Joe’s Racing Products Stock Non-Wing and A-Class. Hyper Racing Outlaw Non-Wing is not far behind with over 90 entries received.

At the time of press, the overall count stands at 509 between the six divisions.

The 2025 event holds the current record with 1,855 entries received, with 1,798 confirmed among 762 drivers from 43 states and five countries driving 1,105 cars. A total of 389 races were contested in 2025 for a total of 3,682 green flag laps.

Early registration discount expires on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The early entry fee is $100/class entered. After that, registration is $125/class entered through Tuesday, December 16, 2025. After that, all registration will be closed until Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the SageNet Center.

Register online at https://www.myracepass.com/series/1531/registrations.

Entries can also be phoned in to (918) 838-3777, or (918) 606-2592, Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (CT). Finally, once your number is published on the Tulsa Shootout website, it will not be changed. If you do not correctly fill out the required number selection, the Tulsa Shootout will assign a number to you, and it will not be changed.

The 41st annual Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout powered by NOS Energy Drink takes place inside the SageNet Center at Expo Square, located on the Tulsa County Fairgrounds. Cars will hit the track for Practice on the morning of Monday, December 29, 2025, with Heat Races starting the next morning. The chase for the Golden Drill continues through Saturday, January 3, 2026.

The six divisions headlining the 41st annual Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout powered by NOS Energy Drink include Winged Outlaw Micros, Non-Wing Outlaw, A-Class Winged, Stock Non-Wing, Restricted A-Class, and Junior Sprints.

Reminder that an update has been made to the engine rules regarding the use of aftermarket connecting rods in the Stock and Outlaw divisions. This change is NOT PERFORMANCE ENHANCING. This is designed to provide teams with a more effective and efficient way to rebuild engines with parts that have been proven to offer greater longevity.

Effective immediately, the following CP-Carrillo connecting rods will be allowed.
