Uncharted Territory: Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout Powered By NOS Energy Entry Count Surpasses The 2,000 Mark

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (December 27, 2025) “From the day we started the Tulsa Shootout, I never imagined it would get this big,” was all event founder Emmett Hahn could say as he shook his head in amazement.

Exceeding 2,000 entries for the first time, the current count sits at 2,016 entries among 831 drivers from 42 states and six countries. The previous record was set in 2025 with 1,855 entries received.

Sign-in and draw continues Sunday, December 28, starting at Noon. Once draw closes, officials will be able to see who all officially drew in, and from there, be able to map out the number of races that will be contested. Any changes to the format for any of the six classes will also be published if necessary.

Spending Saturday parking teams inside the SageNet Center, over 90% of everyone who entered are currently in the building. Set up to try and get everyone in on one go, the process allows late-arriving teams to unload and roll their equipment into the pits on Sunday morning.

On Saturday’s move-in, Tulsa Expo Raceway Director of Operations, Watt Ward, commented, “Every year, parking is a challenge, and this year made us rethink and redo a few things leading into this weekend, and it helped, and we’re already taking notes to make the next event even smoother. It’s certainly a process to get everyone in, and we really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding that yes, it’s going to be tight, but we’ll get you inside the Expo.”

The 41st running of the Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout Powered By NOS Energy gets underway on Monday, December 29, with practice for all divisions starting at 9:00 A.M. (CT). The fight for the Golden Driller begins with Heat Races on Tuesday, December 30, and continues through Saturday, January 3. All days begin at 9:00 A.M. (CT).
