34th Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout Class and Entry Details Released

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (August 23, 2018) With the count under 150 days until the 34th annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout, the Mecca of Micros is already seeing teams making plans as four nights of racing will greet teams from across the globe.

The 2019 edition of the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout takes place at the Tulsa Expo Raceway, located inside the River Spirit Expo Center, with action kicking off January 2, 2019, and running through January 5, 2019.

Leading up to the event, Early Parking will begin on Monday, December 31. Remainder of the teams will move in on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Early Parking does not guarantee that a team will be able to bring their trailer into the River Spirit Expo Center.

Teams who are allowed to bring their trailer into the Pits must have two cars for every 10 feet of trailer that are participating in the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout. Questions or concerns on this can be directed to Matt Ward at (918) 838-3777 or (918) 995-1650.

The opening day of racing on Wednesday, January 2 will start at 9:00 A.M. with Practice for all classes, followed by Heat Races that evening. Start time is tentative for 5:00 P.M. and can change depending on how long it takes to run all teams through their hot lap sessions. Racing continues each day through Saturday, January 5, 2019.

The 34th edition of the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout will see an adjustment to the class lineup with the 1,200cc Mini Sprints and ECOtec Midgets dropped from competition. The lineup for the 2019 event will include A-Class (Wing, Non-Wing, and Restricted), Outlaw (Wing and Non-Wing), and Junior Sprints as well as the new Xcel 600cc Modifieds for an event run of seven classes.

For all classes, RaceCeivers will be mandatory. They will be available at the event. Frequency will be 454.000. All event times, prices, and details will be released as the event gets closer.
