Lucas Oil Signs On As Title Sponsor Of The Tulsa Shootout
TULSA, Okla. (October 3, 2017) The 33rd running of the Tulsa Shootout will welcome a new title sponsor as Lucas Oil Products has come on board to support the “Indoor Mecca of Micros”, while also continuing their support of the Chili Bowl Nationals and American Sprint Car Series.
“I can’t express how much I appreciate what Lucas Oil has done for us over the years. With ASCS, the Chili Bowl, and now the Shootout; it just means a lot to have a company like Lucas Oil in your corner that supports everyone from the series to the racer,” said Tulsa Shootout founder, Emmett Hahn.
For the 33rd edition, the event will again be filmed for broadcast on the MAVTV Motorsports Network as well as being shown live on http://www.racinboys.com.
“When I talk about supporting so many people, Lucas Oil is a major part of us being able to get the Tulsa Shootout live with Racinboys plus getting this event filmed where we can show it on MAVTV so fans all over the world are getting to see where the future of our sport is coming from. That means a lot these kids.”
The 33rd annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout takes place December 28, 2017 through December 31, 2017 at the Tulsa Expo Raceway, located inside the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla. Entries are being taken online at http://www.tulsashootout.com, by phone at (918) 838-3777, or by fax at (918) 836-5517. Entry blanks can be downloaded at http://www.tulsashootout.com/downloads/get.aspx?i=410966.
Discounted early entry will take place until Wednesday, December 6, 2017 with the cost per entry at $100. Entry fees rise to $120 per class the following day and will close on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. After, that, any new entries will be taken on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 during parking.
Classes for the 33rd annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout include A-Class (Wing, Non-Wing, and Restricted), Outlaw (Wing and Non-Wing) ECOtec Midgets, 1200cc Winged Mini-Sprints, and Junior Sprints for a total of eight divisions. Opening day of racing on Thursday, December 28 will start at 9:00 A.M. with Practice for classes, followed by Heat Races that evening. Start time is tentative for 4:30 P.M. and can change depending on how long it takes to run all teams through their hot lap sessions.
