Rules Updated for 30th annual Tulsa Shootout
TULSA, Okla. (September 16, 2014) - The rules that govern the classes at the 30th annual Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout have been updated.
For all classes, all fuel used in competition at the Tulsa Expo Raceway must be purchased by the approved, onsite vendor. A joint statement from the offices of the Tulsa Shootout and the Tulsa County Fairgrounds reads as follows:
"In compliance with our contract with the Tulsa Fairgrounds, all participants must run fuel purchased from Simons Petroleum at the Event. This fuel, containing 10 percent ethanol, will improve the air quality inside the building. Fuel will be checked in the staging area & any infractions will result in disqualification of car and driver. A colored dye will be added to the fuel for the purpose of enforcing the rule. There will be no exceptions and this will be monitored by the Tulsa Fairgrounds. No outside fuel will be permitted. Any trailers found to be transporting fuel into the building will be escorted from the premises by the Tulsa Fire Marshall."
Also changed is the weight rules for Outlaw Winged and "A" Class with both increased to 775lbs with driver after the race. The final rule change is in the Restricted "A" Class in that Electronic Fuel Injection is not permitted.
Tulsa Shootout utilizes the Body Panel (appearance) rules put in place by Port City Raceway. All cars to subject to inspection, and disqualification, based on these rules. Rules can be found at http://www.portcityracin.com/#!downloads/cxvn.
The 30th annual Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout begins on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 and lasts until Saturday, January 3, 2015. Move-in and registration for the indoor event in Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
Early entry for the Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout will begin on October 1, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. (CT). Classes for the 30th running of the Speedway Motors Tulsa Shootout include:
• Winged Outlaw
• Non-Winged Outlaw
• ECOtec Midgets
• 1,200cc Mini Sprints
• Restricted "A" Class
• "A" Class Winged
• "A" Class Non-Winged
• Junior Sprints
Pre-entry is $100 per class and can be mailed to the Tulsa Shootout office at 1141 S. 83rd East Ave. Tulsa, OK 74112 or faxed to (918) 836-5517. Teams will also be able to enter online at http://www.tulsashootout.com. To enter by phone, contact Ashleigh Ward at 918-838-3777.
Entries received on, or after, December 11, 2014 are considered late and will be charged $120 per entry. Please note, any team wanting to pay for Pit Passes with a check must be pre-approved by the Tulsa Shootout office. Call the office at 918-838-3777 for approval.

Each racing vehicle (NOT ENTRY) is allowed one 9'x10' space only. Multiple vehicles may combine spaces to leave trailer inside the complex. All times below may vary depending on vehicle count.
