Twenty-One Take Golden Drillers in Tulsa Shootout as Bacon Sizzles in Headliner

TULSA, Okla. (December 30, 2007) – With well over 1,000 entries from 25 different states descending upon Tulsa Expo Raceway's ¼-mile clay oval inside the QuikTrip Center for the 23rd Annual Tulsa Shootout, the cream of the crop ultimately rose to the top with 21 different drivers snaring Golden Driller trophies in Sunday night's 24 feature events.

Tulsa-area racer Brady Bacon, a driver for Kasey Kahne Racing on the USAC Sprint Car and Midget circuits, took top honors in the headliner portion of Micro Sprint action by topping the 25-lap 600cc Multi main event, with Iowa's Kyle Heitz the only driver to post multiple wins in Kart action. South Dakota's Michael Coburn and Tulsa's Corey Snapp swept the Pro and Amateur Quad ranks, respectively.

After 145 heat races were completed during Saturday's racing action, another 52 semi-mains and 27 main events on Sunday brought the curtains down on the 23rd Annual Tulsa Shootout, which attracted 1,030 entries, including 465 Karts, 428 Micro Sprints and 137 Quads.
