In 2004 Colton started racing cross country and motocross at only 4 years old. In 2005, he finished 3rd in the state in the T.C.C.R.A State championship in the 50cc Intermediate class. After several wins in the local motocross and cross country ranks, a few minor setbacks In injuries forced a change in the path of his racing career. In 2009 at just 9 years old Colton began competing in the A class in the DFW area. Finishing runner up in two track championships and winning nearly 20 features that season, showing fruition of a very successful career in micro racing.
