Bio

Josh Jackson is 17 years old and attends Menaul School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When Josh is not on the race track you can find him playing football, basketball, or running track for his school. He also has a strong passion for music and occasionally plays “Taps” on his bugle or “The National Anthem” on his trumpet at different events. He has even competed in the New Mexico Regional Science Fair two years in a row. However, Josh’s true passion since he was 5 years old is racing. On the rare occasion when he is not racing competitively he is still racing at Albuquerque Indoor Karting, doing everything he can to improve his skills. Josh started racing Quarter Midgets in the spring of 2003 and hasn’t looked back since. He has raced all over the country (and even Canada) and holds numerous Local, Regional, and National Championships as well as setting Fast time records that are still holding today. Josh’s National wins include 2 Championships at the Battle at the Brickyard in Indianapolis, IN. Western Grands National Championship in Sacramento, CA. USAC’s Mickyard Inaugural National Championship in Orlando, FL and Silver State Winter National Championship in Primm, NV.

In 2010 car counts in Josh’s category’s were low and the decision was made that in order for Josh to grow and continue in the sport that he loves it was time to move into a different form of racing. That decision led him to Legends.

Josh finished the 2011 Rookie Legend Year with a 13th Place National finish. New Mexico Young Lion Legend State Champion. Sandia Motorsports Overall 4th Place finish, 1st place Young Lion division finish, and Legend Rookie of the year.

Josh's 2nd year in the Legend proved to be the best yet. On a National Level Josh finished 8th on the Oval and 10th in Road Course for 2012 Season. He captured the 2012 State Championship for both the Oval and Road Course. 2012 Napa Speed Young Lion Legend Champion and 3rd overall points.Last but certainly not least 2012 Las Vegas Bulling Young Lion Track Champion and Rookie of the Year!

2014 Josh has decided to try dirt and has been successful thus far. keep watching!
